For those of you who have written to me beseeching news of a sequel, I have something good to tell you. I just finished writing the first chapter!
To be frank, I had no intention of penning a sequel when I created Robin: Lady of Legend. Actually, I intended for it to be a self-contained piece with Robin “riding off into the sunset,” so to speak. However, your earnest requests have gotten my creative juices flowing, so I pulled out my keyboard and started writing. I still have no idea where much of the story will go or even when it will be finished, but I have made a definite start!
Not planning a sequel is understandable; after all, you told the “traditional” story, did you not? But…the Robin you gave us is unforgettable. I for one am delighted that you’ve bowed to the greater good. And as all of us know (and certainly BBC, Hollywood and others have shown) it is Robin that matters; the tale is merely a device to show off our star. So here’s looking forward to Robin: Lady of Continuing Adventure. And if you hit a wall as to where that adventure should lead, do but ask Robin’s (and your many fans. I’m sure we can help supply as twist or two….
I would love to hear what you and other Robin fans would like to have in the story! Robin belongs as much to you as to me, and your input is always welcome.
Huzzah! Can’t wait! 😀
I thoroughly enjoyed Robin:Lady of Legend and could not put it down, really a great read! I thank you! Do let me know if you decide the sequel, it should be good as well, if not I have faith any and all you do will worth the read! We readers are all to eager for well written books that keep us focused, it is your choice to make, don’t let us sway that.
thank you again,
Karin Sweeney
Thank you =) I definitely won’t put out a sequel just for the sake of writing a sequel…if I do continue Robin’s story, it will be because I believe I can add to and improve on the original. Right now I have a few ideas running through my head and some loose writings started, but it will be awhile yet.
