I have decided that after my novel is published this summer, I will dual-task at writing another novel and writing a geometry book (say what?). I came to this decision after I pulled out my old geometry notes and retaught myself a year-long course in a single day. Even though I remembered very few of the formulas and properties, I found that simply by applying a few basic principles, I was able to derive them or bypass them entirely. I was flabbergasted when I remembered how many nights I spent trying to memorize a bunch of formulas, when I now realize that learning one simple formula renders many of the others unnecessary. This book will focus on providing an intuitive understanding of geometry, rather than a bunch of cut-and-dried theorems that few people like and even fewer people truly understand.
